Sometimes, it helps to know what products help people who may have the same or similar conditions. Although I do not receive commission of any kind, here are some products that bring me comfort:
Low-cost Items:
ear plugs
Sleep can be elusive and good sleep, well good luck. A set of ear plugs can really protect fragile sleep when road noise, house noise, or environmental sounds, vie for the brain's attention overnight. Ranging from $2.00 to $9.00 per pack, ear plugs are found at grocery stores, drug stores, and big box stores in the pharmacy section. Be sure to keep them away from tiny hands and mouths!
ankle-height compression socks
Foot pain is like tooth pain: capable of sidelining and distracting until it eases. Knee-high compression socks don't always feel good on my legs although I have heard people rave about them. The ankle-height compression socks, however, feel like hugs for the feet. Available at Marshall's, TJMaxx, and other retailers for $2.99 and up, it is a low-cost item that feels like luxury.
hand warmers
I've bought these for use at fall football games or bonfire gatherings, but now I keep some around for daily use. They are inexpensive and available at grocery stores or big box stores in larger quantities, but they help alleviate the ache of incessantly cold hands.
If you dislike disposing of the hand warmers after one use, consider the more expensive alternative: a USB charging plastic hand warmer. Shaped like a large, flat egg (mine at least), it charges quickly to three different settings noted by lighted dots. Honestly the highest setting is nearly too hot, but with cold, painful hands, I have used it, if only temporarily, to get warm. They range in price, but mine was about $20 from Amazon.
corded, soft, pillow speakers
These really look like headphones with soft discs instead of earbuds. Plugging in at the end of the evening without charging earbuds or wedging them into each ear canal feels more restful and sleep inducing. $7 from Amazon but there are many types including a headband and solid plastic pillow speaker with cover.
