Sometimes, it helps to know what products help people who may have the same or similar conditions. Although I do not receive commission of any kind, here are some products that bring me comfort despite their price tags:

adjustable standing desk

I heard someone say once that standing is actually a stress position. Held for long periods of time, it is painful and damaging to the body. While that statement is true, the opposite is true as well. Sitting for too long produces stiffness and pain along with actually shortening ligaments over time. Using a standing desk has given me options throughout the day to stand, sit, lean, half-sit, half-kneel...etc. The height adjustments help more than my legs and hips too. My neck, eyes, hands and wrists have also benefited from regular standing desk use. It's not attractive. The desk may clutter the surface and the room, but it helps.

audio books

Holding a book or tablet hurts my hands, arms, and shoulders. Being able to listen to books for free or on a streaming service has been very liberating. The subscription service isn't necessarily inexpensive, but the benefits are great. It's always a surprise to me how quickly my hands start to hurt.

great shoes

I'm not the only one who loves great shoes. Hoka brand shoes recently made the news for their range of supportive options and rabid fan base. Fans aren't wrong. The shoes snuggle feet and provide all-day support which actually serves to increase my stamina. I don't have a paid endorsement for Hoka, but I do love their product.
